SETA iLearn Learnerships for 2026
The iLearn SETA-Accredited Learnership intake for 2026 is officially open for applications.
Rather than applying for one specific job vacancy, iLearn operates a central talent database. When corporate employers secure SETA funding and need learners in a specific region, they pull from this database to shortlist candidates for interviews and assessments.
Here is everything you need to know about available fields, requirements, and how to get your application sorted.
Core Fields Available for the 2026 Intake
The available pathways span several high-demand sectors, balancing classroom theory with practical workplace training:
-
Logistics & Supply Chain: Logistics Assistant, Warehouse Controller, and Inventory Clerk.
-
Business Administration: Junior Administrator and Office Support Assistant.
-
Specialised Programmes: Project Management and Marketing Coordinator (NQF Level 5).
What are the Requirements?
iLearn has designed these opportunities to be highly accessible to South African youth, with entry points available even if you haven’t finished Matric:
-
Age: 18 to 34 or 35 years old.
-
Citizenship: South African citizen with a valid ID.
-
Education: A minimum of a Grade 10, 11, or 12 pass (depends heavily on the specific NQF level of the course).
-
Employment Status: Currently unemployed and not enrolled in full-time studies.
-
Demographics: Targeted toward unemployed youth from previously disadvantaged backgrounds, heavily welcoming applications from people living with disabilities.
The Stipend: Selected learners receive a monthly stipend to help cover basic costs like transport and meals. For the 2026 cycle, stipends range up to R5,700 per month, depending entirely on the specific corporate sponsor, the SETA involved, and the NQF level of the program.
Documents You Must Prepare
Before starting your digital application, ensure you have clear, readable digital copies (ideally PDF) of these mandatory documents:

An updated, professional Curriculum Vitae (CV).
-
A certified copy of your South African ID.
-
Your highest qualification or latest school report (Grade 10, 11, or Matric certificate).
-
Proof of residence.
-
Proof of your SARS tax reference number (you can grab this via SARS eFiling).
-
A medical certificate if you are applying as a person living with a disability.
How to Apply
The application is entirely digital.
💡 Pro-Tips to Get Selected Faster
Because thousands of young South Africans apply to the database daily, meeting the bare minimum requirements isn’t always enough to get pulled for an interview.
-
Apply Early: Corporate sponsors pull from the database as soon as their funding cycles hit. Some early 2026 cohorts (especially in Logistics) fill up rapidly.
-
Keep Your Phone/Email Active: If iLearn shortlists you, they will reach out for a telephonic or online screening interview. Missing their call usually means they move straight to the next candidate.
-
Tailor Your CV: Make sure your CV clearly highlights basic communication, computer literacy, and any community or volunteer work you’ve done to prove you are ready for a workplace environment.
