Capitec Bank has opened applications for its Graduate & Internship Programme. If you are looking to kickstart your career with one of South Africa’s leading financial institutions, this is a massive opportunity to gain 12 to 24 months of real-world experience.

Here is a breakdown of what you need to know about the current intake, requirements, and how to apply.

Core Requirements

To be eligible for the Capitec programme, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Nationality: Must be a South African citizen with a valid 13-digit ID.

  • Experience: Little to no prior formal work experience (less than 2 years).

  • Academic History: Must have completed a relevant tertiary qualification (Diploma or Degree, NQF Level 7) within the last 3 years with a minimum academic average of 60%.

  • Vetting: Must have a completely clear criminal and credit record.

  • Relocation: Willingness to work or relocate to where the roles are based—primarily Stellenbosch (Head Office), Century City (Western Cape), or Sandton (Gauteng).

Target Fields of Study

Capitec is actively looking for graduates with backgrounds in the following disciplines:

  • Technology & Systems: Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering.

  • Data & Analytics: Data Science, Decision Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Quantitative Management.

  • Business & Finance: Finance, Economics, Financial Risk Management, Business Management.

  • Support Functions: Human Resources (HR), Industrial Engineering, Digital Marketing, Marketing.

How to Apply

Applications are processed fully online. Make sure you complete every part of the evaluation to be considered.

1.Visit the Careers Portal:
Step 1.

Go to the official Capitec Careers Portal and search for the Capitec Internship Programme or Graduate Programme.

2.Complete the ‘Life at Capitec’ Assessment:
Step 2.

Before completing your application, you must complete a short online assessment on their site. This measures your cultural fit and alignment with Capitec’s values.

3.Fill Out the Profile:
Step 3.

Complete the online application form with your personal details, contact information, and educational history.

4.Upload Supporting Documents:
Step 4.

Upload your updated CV, a copy of your South African ID, your Matric certificate, and your full academic transcripts/degree certificate.

5.Submit Before the Deadline:
Step 5.

Review your details and submit the application before the final closing date on 15 August 2026.
