The TSU Protection Services Learnership Programme is an entry-level occupational training initiative hosted by TSU Group Holdings. Designed to train unemployed youth to become qualified, professional Security Officers, it combines classroom theory at an accredited training center with structured on-the-job workplace experience.

Minimum Entry Requirements

To be eligible for the learnership, candidates generally must meet the following criteria:

  • Age: Must be an unemployed South African citizen between 18 and 29 years old.

  • Education: A completed Matric (Grade 12) certificate with English and a minimum of Level 4 (50%+) in ALL subjects.

  • PSIRA Status: Must not be currently PSIRA-registered (this program is intended for candidates seeking basic entry training).

  • Criminal Record: Must have a clean record with no criminal history.

  • Enrolment Status: Must not be currently employed, enrolled at a tertiary institution, or participating in another active learnership program.

  • Location: Must reside in or around the local area (e.g., Centurion or Cape Town) to ensure reliable daily commute to classes and operational sites.

  • People with Disabilities (PWD): PWD candidates are welcomed, provided a valid doctor’s report or signed ITRDD13 form is included with the application.
