This permanent position is ideal for experienced drivers with abnormal load and crane operating experience who are committed to safety, compliance, and efficient delivery operations.
Heavy Duty Driver Job Responsibilities
As a Heavy Duty Driver at Eskom ERI Logistics Services, your duties will include:

Vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
-
Safe loading and securing of cargo
-
Transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently
-
Compliance with road safety and Occupational Health and Safety regulations
-
Operating hydraulic truck-mounted cranes
-
Executing crane movements and interpreting crane hand signals
-
Delivering abnormal and inter-link loads in multi-tractor and solo configurations
-
Maintaining quality and safety standards
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
-
Grade 12 (Matric)
-
Valid and un-endorsed Code 14 driver’s license
-
Valid Public Driver’s Permit (PDP)
-
Relevant Crane Driving Qualification
Experience
-
Minimum 3 years’ experience driving inter-link or abnormal load vehicles
-
2 years’ experience operating other heavy-duty vehicles
-
Experience with hydraulic truck-mounted cranes
-
Proven experience driving abnormal load tractors (multi-tractor and solo applications)
